It’s been 19 years since Ramon last saw Laura and here they are, together again, in front of lawyer’s office ready to sign their divorce papers. Their lawyer is a no show and so these two former radical leftist militants wander the streets of Lima, reminiscing about the good times and arguing, bitterly, about their political differences and what might have been.
Influenced by Richard Linklater’s “Before Trilogy,” “One Last Afternoon” delivers a sympathetic portrait of a couple still trying to come to terms with their past and the price they paid for their activism. (Chicago Latino FF)
